About Schmidt Winchester

What does Schmidt Winchester specialise in?

Schmidt Winchester focuses on premium kitchen and interior projects, including bathrooms, wardrobes, home offices and media units. We can also help project manage renovations, extensions, and new-build homes. The showroom takes a highly personalised and design-led approach to every project.

What makes Schmidt Winchester unique?

Every project is different, with your space thoroughly thought out to best suit your individual lifestyle and needs. Our designers take time to understand how you live, what you like and how you want your space to feel. Using this information, they'll recommend cabinetry, materials and colour schemes to best suit you and your family.

How does your furniture compare to other companies?

Our furniture is made to measure and made to order in our factories in France and Germany. We have intensive 10-year warranties on furniture and 25 years on components, such as hinges and drawer runners. We have the thickest carcasses on the market and offer designs and prints that are unique to Schmidt. One of our Designers would love to tell you more!

Planning your design

I'm only exploring ideas right now — is it too early to get in touch?

Not at all. Many customers reach out during the early planning or inspiration stage, and the showroom team is happy to guide you through the process whenever you feel ready, to help you decide whether Schmidt is right for you.

Do I need planning permission before speaking with the showroom?

No. Many customers contact the showroom before planning permission is finalised. Understanding where you are in the process simply helps the team guide you more appropriately.

Can someone help me decide what type of kitchen or layout would work best?

Absolutely. One of the showroom designers would be able to explore different ideas and possibilities with you based on your space, project goals, and lifestyle. Book a design consultation to get started.

What information is helpful before speaking with a designer?

Helpful details can include:

  • project type
  • approximate timeline
  • planning permission status
  • rough budget expectations
  • inspiration photos or plans

But even if you don't have all of that yet, the showroom team can still help guide you.

Can someone help me compare different layouts or design directions?

Yes — that's exactly what the showroom designers are there for. Once they understand your project and goals, they can guide you through the different possibilities.

Pricing & timelines

How much does a kitchen renovation usually cost?

Project costs can vary quite a bit depending on layout, finishes, appliances, worktop and the overall scope of work. One of the showroom designers would be able to give you more tailored guidance once they understand your plans in more detail.

I'm not sure what my budget should be yet — can I still enquire?

Absolutely. Many customers are still exploring ideas and priorities when they first reach out, and the showroom team can help you better understand the different options available depending on your project.

What are your lead times?

Our lead times typically range from 6 to 12 weeks, as each kitchen is produced through a made-to-order manufacturing process. Our designer will provide a detailed overview of our production workflow during your initial appointment to ensure full clarity on timelines and expectations.

Enquiries & visiting

What happens after I submit an enquiry?

A member of the showroom team will review your enquiry and help determine the best next step based on your project stage and requirements.

Can I contact the showroom outside business hours?

Yes. You're welcome to leave information about your project at any time, and someone from the showroom team will follow up when available.

Will I eventually speak with a real designer?

Yes. Our online enquiry tools are simply here to help with initial questions and gather information. The showroom designers remain central to the process and will provide the detailed project guidance and consultation.
